Stravinsky’s Quest is a 2012, 15.2+ hand, bay Thoroughbred gelding for sale from his owner/trainer. He is six years old and it is time for him to find a new career. If you look at his trot, you can see he should be headed to a dressage or eventing second career. He just floats across the ground. He is retiring sound with no injuries and he has not been not heavily raced (but enough to know he will hold up) with just 20 starts. This could be the winner of the next Retired Racehorse Project! #RRP
Stravinsky’s Quest is extremely well-bred but slow. He has many chefs-de-race (French for “chiefs of racing,” or, more esoterically, “masters of the breed”) in his pedigree including the great sport horse sire Danzig, Nureyev, Northern Dancer (both sides – dam and sire), Damascus, Mr. Prospector, Blushing Groom, Raise A Native, Buckpasser, Round Table, Forli, Halo and In Reality. In 20 races, Stravinsky’s Quest won only once and made just $15,961. So you can see why he is for sale.
Stravinsky’s Quest is racing in Kentucky at this time but he is available for sale now.
Please call for pricing. Stravinsky’s Quest is priced at $2,500 at this time. The price can go up or down depending on owner. We always check with the owner when someone is a serious buyer. Many times the price goes down to a really good home. We do not own these horses so we cannot control the pricing. We will not sell a horse to just anyone with the money. We carefully select the horses we sell and we work hard to make a perfect match. If you don’t call, we cannot help you. We are not a rescue and our horses are not ‘rescue priced’. Most horses are between $2500 and $4500 – some higher and some lower. Call and we can talk more our horses and let us help you find the perfect match. We take the gamble out of getting a Thoroughbred off-the-track. Learn more about how our Track Prospect Horses are priced on the main Bits & Bytes Farm website.
